Milk bath maternity session? Absolutely. Yes.

You caught me. I’m not sorry, though. I just couldn’t say no. Yes, Reann and I already got together to do maternity photos. Yes she totally rocked it the first time. So obviously, when the term “Milk Bath” came up all I could do was pull out my calendar and pick a date immediately.

Somehow this mama-to-be was looking even more gorgeous than she already had with part one of her maternity session. She was absolutely beautiful!

I was so excited to do this session, because I’ve been dying to do a milk bath session for a very long time. It was actually a lot more easier than I had originally thought it would be to achieve the look we were going for!

If you are interested in trying a milk bath session for yourself 1) please consider hiring me to do the shoot, I am experienced now (shameless plug), and 2) keep reading to find out how to accomplish a similar look.

It turns out all you need is a nice big tub, a large bag of powdered milk, some freshly cut flowers and a lace maternity dress. Next, you get the bath running at a comfortable temperature - not too hot though, you don’t want to sweat off all your makeup! After that, pour the bag of powdered milk in the tub and mix it around until completely dissolved and opaque enough for your purposes. Next, get your model in the tub and then put the flowers in around them. And, voila! How simple is that?!

Enjoy the results of my first time shooting a milk bath session!
